Gimme The Green Light

"We can go all night, gimme the green light..." -John Legend
I'm def ready to go right now John Legend status... go to a new place called HOME!!! Yes, and yes, so sorry for my absent booty lately, buuuuutttt the good news is I've only been absent for a good cause, because this independent woman got "the green light" to become a first time home-buyer!!! You know I get super excited for investment purchases, but this time around, my exciting investment purchase had nothing to do with dresses, heels, or bags ;-) Anywho, unfortunately and fortunately, I will be downsizing my closet for my big move. So that means more new items in my closet for you to shop (everything's GOTS-2-GO, so go ahead and indulge while helping your girl out lol - Shameless 'Shop My Closet" Ad here !). On another note, I am soooo diggin this SF weather we are so blessed to experience. It's warm enough to wear a midi dress in the day, but cool enough to wear a chic over-sized jacket at night.
The army trend has been a gorgeous green color trend I, and every other fantabulous woman, have been swooning over the last few months (but I saved that trend for another post, keep checking back lovelies!), but this time I wanted to be unique and style another gorg green color that has been overshadowed my the "popular" army color: Pine Green. I mean, it's only appropriate right?? Pine Needles... Green Trees... Fall Season... are you getting all this? Lol. For this look I styled an affordably chic Pine Green midi dress with brown, tan, and gold accessories. Tims are coming back for the fall/winter season, but me being a girly girl, I just had to rock the Manolo versions instead (insert single tear here from "Jenny from the Block"). The poncho and faux leopard stole I added just oozed fabulosity, and have both been staples in my closet for quite some time (well, more like years...no judging allowed lol) and can be mixed and matched with just about everything. I think people are usually more inclined to wear a chic poncho with pants only, but I wanted (yet I dare say it again) to be UNIQUE, so I styled with a dress, and kept things interesting ;-)
