Trending: Color-Blocking + Fall Florals

Sunday, September 30, 2018

You’ll see color-blocking and pattern-blocking a lot this Fall season, and they are 2 of my especially favorite trends! Everything we've been taught about fashion puts bright colors and floral's alongside the notion of Spring/Summer. But if you're like me, and haven't already done your summer clean out, take a deep breath (inhale, exhale) as luckily, both are making their Fall debut! I decided to color block with red & yellow, and pattern block with floral's for my outfit here. Floral prints go literally with everything. They’re versatile and pair easily with other patterns. In the case of Fall, floral designs mesh beautifully with black or dark tones, which we all know are go-to colors for the chilly season. If you’re looking to wear lighter and more playful shades this year, flowers and foliage are your effortless solution to keep things from being too plain. The Western trend incorporates floral prairie blouses paired with suede fringed skirts, and many street stylist's are seen wearing easy breezy floral slip dresses paired with a moto jacket. I didn't get a chance to wear this cute number during the summer here in San Francisco, but the weather is quite hot now this time of year. I've decided I'm taking full advantage of my attire, since our summer "Fall(s)" later in the year ;-)
